The PatientReaction platform is a comprehensive medical social network for patients and caregivers that is currently in the beta phase of development. If you are a medical professional that is a patient as well, you are welcome to join the platform. It is now time for patients that in the past might not have has access to high level medical care for whatever reason(no insurance for it was not affordable, not a celebrity/professional athlete, not a big donor, not well connected in the medical community) to get empowered so that they to can see a great doctor.(GOAT).
The greatest doctors of all time(GOATS) are more accessible now than ever since most physicians are employees in America. Since hospital systems take all insurance plans and have to care for you if you have no insurance at all,(only 8% of the United States population currently) if we can only determine who the GOATS are, get in to see them, we can improve outcomes. One of, if not the best way to see a great doctor is a personal recommendation. This is where PatientReaction can help facilitate. As we embark on building this platform, you will be able to see where other patients with your exact condition were treated and by who and how they were able to obtain an excellent outcome. You will now become empowered which will give you the ability to be able make more informed decisions in conjunction with your treating physicians. This is critical since medical error is currently the third leading cause of death in the United States. One of the worst mistakes patients make is that they pick a physician solely based upon the proximity to their home. How is that working out currently for the American patient?
We as patients/caregivers need to be more informed when choosing our healthcare providers/facilities and our goal at PatientReaction is to provide the data needed, via real life experiences, to help accomplish this.
You’ve made it this far—now it’s your turn.
