Creating your account

There will be a sign-up form on the registration page after launch (1st quarter 2023). After you fill out the form you will receive an email confirmation to log in to the site.

We do not require any specific identifying personal information to be entered when you sign-up. We will ask if you are signing up as a patient or caregiver, first name(use a nickname if you want), last name(optional), gender at birth, date of birth(for age purposes only), location(no street address only your city, zip code, state, country) and diagnosis.

A short bio is also required to share your background and introduce yourself to other members.

Yes.

We encourage caregivers to join for the benefit of those patient's that they care for as well as themselves.

Absolutely nothing.

We will never charge any fees to members for use of the site. The only thing we ask is to share the site with your entire extended family and all your friends whom you feel would benefit from being a member.

The easiest way is to call you doctors office. Ask them for your entire diagnosis as there are usually multiple diagnoses that patients are diagnosed with. You can also obtain your diagnosis by contacting your insurance company if you have coverage.

Contact us at support@patientreaction.com with your diagnosis so we can verify it. Once processed, it will be added to our list so that you can connect with members who have your exact condition.

Profile setup

Your profile information can be setup after you register your username and email. This form must be completed before you can access the site.

Yes, a simple form is used to collect your information. Our location and diagnosis fields will display a suggestion drop down as you type making it easier to enter your information.

You can also add a profile image and cover image to your profile (both optional).

Yes, there are entry fields for additional diagnoses when you sign up to become a member of the site. They can also be added to your profile later on in your profile settings.

Once you login there will be a profile settings link on the menu. Click this link to view and edit your profile settings.

Account settings

Once you login there will be an account setting link in the menu dropdown by your profile image. Click the image or icon and you can access your account settings.

Yes, under email preferences you can turn this feature on or off as it pertains to receiving notifications from PatientReaction.

Yes, receiving new member notifications is on by default in your email preferences. New member alerts will also be on your home page.

Deleting your account

In your account settings there will be a link to delete your account. Once you click the link you will have to confirm it's you by re-entering your password and then your account will be deleted.

Your profile will be removed from the site and searches immediately.

We store your account settings and profile information for six months after account deletion just in case you wish to revive it. If you do not want us to store your information at all after the account is deleted, please contact us and we will permanently remove it from our servers.

No. We will never delete an account due to inactivity for any length of time.
